Delivery Details

As we sell a varied range of products at House of Cartlidge, we use a selection of different delivery services & couriers including our own team.

Once you have placed your order, our team will check your order and assign the best shipping service based on the products you have purchased and your delivery address. You will then receive an email or call to confirm your delivery. All online orders can take up to 28 days.

Dispatch Methods

Click & Collect Service

We offer a free click & collect service from our showroom in Hanley. We will call or email you when your items are ready to collect. We will need 24 hours notice for larger items and these can only be collected on an arranged day due to limited space. Proof of purchase is required on collection.

Small Parcel Delivery

This service is for small items (enough for one person to carry) and will be delivered by a tracked courier service such as DPD or our own delivery vehicles. Once your order is dispatched you will be notified by text message or email with an estimated delivery date as well as your unique tracking number. Our standard delivery 5-7 working days from ordering.

One-Man Delivery

Some items require a specialist courier to carry out the delivery. This can be when an item is especially heavy or long in length. Once dispatched, we will email you with details of the delivery. This service does not include taking away any packaging. 

Two-Man Delivery

The largest items in our collection will be handled by a specialist carrier who operate with two-man delivery teams. This service does not include taking away packaging and will take 7-14 working days for delivery.

Please be aware our courier team DO NOT deliver upstairs as part of our service.

Local Delivery for "Collection Only" items (Large or fragile)

Items marked as collection only are also available for local delivery starting from £15 depending on your postcode. Please call us on 01782 960770 before placing your order if you wish to arrange a local delivery. We cover all ST postcodes, CW1, CW2, CW3, CW5, CW11 & CW12.

When will my delivery arrive?

For larger items or some local deliveries, our team will call you when they have your furniture and will give you a delivery date and timeslot or an estimated delivery date. Smaller items are sent out with our courier company who will send you an email or a text regarding the delivery and estimated time, along with further tracking details for you to follow.


Please contact us if you wish to return an item by emailing with your order number and delivery address.

You may return your item(s) in original unused condition in the original packaging within 28 days of collection or delivery. If your item is not faulty, there may be a charge for the carriage of your return.

Any faults must be reported to us with photo evidence within 48 hours of delivery to along with your order number. Returns for faulty or damaged items will be free of charge.

Refunds will be processed using the original payment method with 14 days of us receiving the returned item(s).

Clearance/Sale items can only be returned if faulty and the fault was not agreed at the point of sale.
